Quick Reminder - January to March is the Best Time to Cut Problem Vines

The best time to cut the vines on trees is while they are dormant (January-March). They don't all have skin irritants but it's safest to wear gloves when cutting back vines.

Read more about controlling native and invasive vines on our website here and in this UF/IAS article "Vines, Vines, Vines: What’s Growing Up My Trees?" by Pat Williams

For more information contact the Master Gardener Volunteers or Nassau County extension director Dr. Taylor Clem. They will answer questions on any plant issue.

The UF/IFAS extension Nassau County extension office is open from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Questions for the Nassau County Master Gardeners can be emailed to NassauMGV@ifas.ufl.edu.
