There was a full house at ATC's Annual Meeting which was held at Fernandina Beach Golf Club on April 12, 2023. Members and supporters attended, as did all five Nasssau County Commissioners.
Lyn Pannone, ATC Board Chair, reviewed the achievements of the past decade and the goals for the coming year.
Our Keynote Speaker Dr Taylor Clem Nassau County's Horticulture Extension Agent and County Extension Director, spoke about the importance of the Urban Canopy and the need to balance development with the tree canopy.
The Board also recognized the contributions of Margaret Kirkland (current chair of Conserve Nassau), Gage Tree Care, and Steve Leimberg, photographer, naturalist, and long-time ATC supporter.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of prizes for the Heritage Tree Amateur Photography Contest. We thank everyone who entered.
The over 18 winner was Karen Reily . . .
